Attending a Meet

Everything you need to know before you come along

What to Expect

What happens at a typical meet

A relaxed few hours of hanging out, chatting, photos and games. There’s no set agenda — come and go as suits you.

Where meets are usually held

Mostly outdoors around Milton Keynes — Campbell Park and Willen Lake are favourites — with the occasional indoor meet.

What to bring

Water, comfy clothes, and anything you need for the day. Suiters, see the fursuit advice below.

RSVP or just turn up?

You can just turn up, but letting us know on Discord or Telegram helps us plan and look out for you.

Age guidance

MK Critters meets are for adults only — you must be 18 or over to attend. This applies to all of our meets and community channels.

Coming in Fursuit?

A few tips to keep your day comfortable and safe.

Travelling to a meet in fursuit

Most suiters travel in regular clothes and suit up at the meet. If you plan to travel suited, bring a bag for your head and paws.

Hydration & heat

Drink plenty before and during, take regular breaks out of suit, and watch for overheating on warm days.

Do you need a handler?

Not required, but a handler makes suiting far more comfortable — they carry water, spot hazards, and help with photos.

Need a handler on the day?

Just ask in our channels or find an organiser at the meet — we’ll help pair you up with someone friendly.

Frequently asked

Do I need a fursuit to attend?

Not at all. Plenty of our members don’t suit — everyone is welcome.

Is the meet family-friendly?

Our meets are welcoming, friendly spaces, but they are 18+ only — we’re an adult community group and can’t accommodate under-18s.

How do I find out where the meet is?

The location is posted on the Events page and shared in our Discord and Telegram ahead of each meet.

Can I come on my own?

Yes — lots of people do. Say hi when you arrive and we’ll make sure you feel at home.
