How we keep MK Critters a safe and welcoming space

Last updated Wednesday, 1 July 2026

Milton Keynes Critters is a monthly social meet for members of the furry community. We strive to maintain a friendly and safe reputation along with the enjoyment and safety of all our attendees.

All meet attendees agree to follow this Code of Conduct.

  1. You must be 18 or over to attend and take part in MK Critters meets. This is non-negotiable and is to ensure the protection of both people underage, and our regular attendees.
  2. No drug use is allowed at our meets. Anyone seen in possession of, distributing, handling or taking substances that are currently illegal under UK law will be asked to leave the event and will face a permanent ban.
  3. All attendees must behave in a manner suitable for public spaces. MK Critters frequent public locations for our meets, and we expect all attendees to behave in a manner that would not cause disturbance or otherwise bother other members of the public. Attendees must also make sure that nothing they say or do could offend public decency. This applies whether you are suiting, or not.
  4. Do not engage in bullying or exclusionary behavior. We are a friendly meet that is open to people from all walks of life. We do not want anyone to feel excluded or ostracized by anything they may do, anything they may wear, or who they choose to identify as.
  5. No hate speech. MK Critters has zero-tolerance to the use of public hate speech. Anyone engaging in this behaviour will be spoken to and issued a warning. Any further use of hate speech or similarly offensive language will result in a permanent ban.
  6. Adequate personal hygiene is non-negotiable. We require all attendees to practice a basic level of personal hygiene. This includes washing and maintaining your fursuits!
  7. No fetish wear such as BDSM clothing, pup gear, clothing that shows explicit imagery, leashes, harness etc.. are allowed either in or out of fursuit at MK Critters meets. If an article of clothing you wish to wear could be categorized under any listed articles, please do not bring them to MK Critters meets.
  8. Respect other people's boundaries. Do not touch or make contact with anyone in or out of fursuit without their permission. Do not send inappropriate messages or display any inappropriate content to anyone within the group without their permission or consent.
  9. No real or realistic looking weapons are allowed at MK Critters meets. If you are unsure about any props or other items, please contact the organisation team before attending a meet.
  10. Consumption of alcohol at post-meet social gatherings must be consumed in moderation. Attendees of any extra-meet social events are expected to know their limits, and are responsible for their own words and actions when drinking with other attendees, regardless of where they may be.
  11. Everyone has a right to enjoy and feel safe at our meets. If somebody is upsetting you, offending you, or is otherwise causing you discomfort, tell that person to stop. No means no, Stop means Stop. If any problems persist with another attendee, please report the behaviour to an organiser.

If you have any problems, issues or questions regarding our Code of Conduct, please contact an organiser.

Anyone breaking any of the following rules will be given warnings. Repeated warnings and serious incidents will result in an immediate ban. The organisational team will decide how long an attendee is banned for.

Milton Keynes Critters furmeets have always been great fun and we strive to keep them that way. With everyone's help and participation, we can keep them that way, and foster a sense of community in the Milton Keynes area.

We hope you enjoy yourself and your time at our furmeets.
